Bear lake

Today i took a short trip to Logan, Utah with Steve.  We first stop in to have lunch. We had Chinese which was good than it was off to get the err ins taken care of! Well it didn't work out Steve got a call which we had to end our trip to Logan short. It was a nice drive over Logan canyon, though we saw deer and there was a lot of people out and about that were sledding and snowmobiling in all it was nice drive!!!

It has been a cold one up here at Ideal Beach Resort! Today i went out in the fresh snow that has been fallen throughout the day. I went out to the beach of bear lake and walk along the snow covered beach making fresh foot prints. It has it's own beauty in the winter all the snow and the wind that blow the snow and it covers your fresh foot prints in minutes. I broke away for a minute to go in the hot tub which is always nice in the winter. Especially when the hot tub is outside and it is snowing on you.

The Christmas Lights

This journey start by going to my nephew's piano recital. It was amazing to see how good they perform for there age's. Before heading to the Temple square right away. We stop at some stores for some shopping! The first store Ross where i found a belt so i can hold up my pants. Then off to Burlington coat factory to check on some coats which was slim pickings.

From there we went to Cabala's to look at a Benjamin trail NP Xl rifle that i like to get for planking at targets! We where getting hungry so went to good old Golden Corral where no one goes hungry.  It was fun cause I bet my nephew that if he ate all his Sweet's that I would give him 1 dollar. Well I lost! I don't know were he put the three bars of fudge and brownie and a good size helping of ice cream? If it was me I would be sick.

We finally arrive to temple square to find a not a single parking spot anywhere. We drove around for about 45 min finally find a park garage. It was the busiest I have ever seen it at Temple Square before. We found out that David Archuleta was singing with The Mormon Tabernacle Choir tonight so that is why it was so busy. I took some pictures of the Temple and the displays they had around Temple Square with my Htc touch pro 2 smart phone which is sweet! Then after enjoying are visit it was time for us to drive home, It was a long drive home because of a deadly wreck on I-15. Which we didn't get home tell early the next morning.

The Resort at sunset

Today I started by looking outside of my cabin that i am living in at Zion Ponderosa resort! Looking out  to Arizona border in the distance and Checker Board mesa and part of Zion national park. To see the different colors and how clear and fresh the air is here. It is so amazing to be here in nature to see the deer and the rabbits running around feeding on the grass and plants that aren't covered by snow  while inside a warm cabin. Then you hear occasion coyote hawl in the far distance in the evening hours... If lucky to see the local Bobcat that stays close by the resort.

Thanksgiving Rush

The past few days have been crazy here at Zion Ponderosa Resort. The demand for massages was high this Thanksgiving holiday. Because I am the only massage therapist on site it was great for my business. I did a mix of different modalities which include warm desert stone, sports massage, Swedish and deep tissue massage. Although it was great holiday weekend but it wipe me out.

Today it has been a relaxed day compared to the last few day.  It started with a one appointment at 11 am. Then a flip video excursion with a father and daughter.  The daughter was the reporter and the camera operator filming the zipline and the horses at the resort. Then it was off to watch the game between Utah and  Byu it was awesome, such a close game both teams played very well. Congrats Utah for the win!!

The Snow Damage Continued

Today I woke up to a winter wonderland at the resort. I got ready for a Swedish massage that went great. The Swedish massage is great for tension and stress relief, plus it's great to eliminate toxins from the body and bring balance so you have a phenomenal stress free day. After that I plowed snow from the sidewalks and roads at Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort.

The winter journey

Today started by unloading hay in the barn during a snow blizzard.  After that I helped hook up the backhoe to plow the the roads at Zion Ponderosa Resort and North Fork Road before going to a mission farewell in Orderville, Utah.

Because of the severe storm we followed out of state guests down the mountain to the farewell. We coasted down the mountain at 5 miles per hour. My boss Michael Kane made the comment, "Could they go any slower?" Our ride back to the resort was much quicker until the last stretch up the mountain when we came across some of our guests that were driving about snail's pace.  Well, maybe a snail's pace is faster than they were actually going.

Tonight I desighted to share the snow storm by using my Flip video camera to film this winterland up at the Resort.

The Rhino Excursion

Yesterday was my day off.....kinda.....and I went for a drive in a Rhino by Zion National Park. I went on a Atv trail to the edge of Englestead Canyon which is near Orderville Canyon and the Narrows. It was a perfect day for using my Flip Video camera  to document my excursion.
